Greetings from the Xyphokonic Order and Ordinance. We welcome you back! Continuing on our lengthy series on Purity and Lord Carnyie’s Xyphozon, today we’ll be discussing exactly how Purity eradicates corruption from a spirit or soul. As we discussed before, the Purpose of Purity is to grant Mercy to the innocent wrongly burdened with corruption, but what exactly happens to the corruption from an innocent given this pure mercy? Let’s discuss.
Let’s first begin by recapping what corruption is. Corruption is the bastardized force of Deceptuary’s spirituality—meant to disrupt the flow of spirituality throughout the Spectrum and cause it to fracture and break. What was once an attribute known as Divergence has since been defiled into corruption. As we know from how evil souls are cast into Terigath’s Hell, corruption latches onto spiritual beings by way of their Spiritual Anatomical Selfs, or simply their Selfs. All corruption latches onto the Self of a being and corrupts that Self from within—aiming at breaking the Core, the Psyche, and otherwise taking over the Self entirely.
As we know, the Azure Flames of Terigath have the power to purge the Self from a spirituality and chamber both that Self and the corruption attached to it in Hell for eternity. In a similar fashion, the power of Purity also works to rid corruption by eradicating it from a spirituality. In the case of Purity, the Pure energy takes the corruption of a being, shackles it partially to sections of the Self, and severs that corrupted boil from the spirituality before shocking the corruption until it is fully purged from the spirituality. The corruption may try to latch onto other entities, but more likely is that the corruption and whatever subset it was attached to will be eradicated—causing its spiritual end where it will therefore be cast immediately into Terigath for eternity.
Sadly, this process does come with the expected Misery that is prone to Purification, as the part of the Self that is used to sever the purity are various Wills of the spirit. Wills, or the motivating desires that give a spiritual being a reason to continue its existence, propel the being through existence—particularly during the period of Life. Often times, the corruption latched to an innocent will be done so through the perversion of a Will, and it will be that Will that shall be severed and eradicated. This process leaves the spirituality with a fragmented Self, or at least one missing a concurrent Will afterward. That is the Misery that is often accompanied by being granted Mercy. The innocent is forgiven of the unwanted Sin, but not without sacrifice. It is certainly possible, with the power of Love and Time, to rebuild such lost Will(s), but it will be a very tough and long process to once again patch the holes in the Self created by such severe trauma.
The Divine Attribute of Purity is one of dissonance, often accompanied by melancholy, and will always grant some form of Mercy to the innocent. As we continue these discussions on Purity, this theme will become quite apparent if it isn’t already. This will be especially true when we examine the key figures of the Carneiyean Xyphozon and especially the Child of Purity’s Sacred Lesson on Purity. Immorality in Xyphoist Philosophy Is a circumstance not forgiven without some kind of consequence, even in the cases of the corruption of innocence. Mercy exists solely for those circumstances, but with all things involving Purity, a sacrifice of Misery must be had in order to grant that Mercy.
