Commentary 63: Nature, The Trifling Force

Greetings from the Order and Ordinance! We return on this beautiful Sacred Day to continue our Period-long discussion on Nature. Last time, we introduced why the Xyphoist Philosophy calls Nature the “Creating Force.” Today, we’ll talk about Nature’s rule-making role as it pertains to the more trifling aspects of it—when Nature is challenged by the Hubris of Humanity. So let’s dive into this.

As stated before, we can see Nature as the “chef” that takes the ingredients and follows the recipe to create a meal or bake a cake; Nature is the conductor of the rules that dictate our existential state. And, since Nature has this rule-establishing role, it would make logical sense as to why trifling with Nature will result in what Hayle Nkes frankly says as “eradication.” In the Sacred Lesson given to Sacred Child Niinkisia, Hayle Nkes is asked by the Child what would happen to those who succumb to extreme Hubris and try to conquer or challenge Nature. Nkes’s response is as follows:

“…Nature creates the vessel, Natural Rebirth will always Recreate the Nature from which vessels spawn, single vessels cannot and shall never outlast the Natural Root for which they spawn from.”

Niinkisia follows up by inquiring what would happen to the mortals that try to war against Nature, and Nkes’s response is frank, curt, and absolute:

“Eradication…The chance of Reincarnation denied, the Self scattered, the vessel consumed by Nature. There would be no Rebirth, it would cease. Nature is a force beyond the power of mortal, and that they shall abide to the rules of it as it creates their only means of containing true form.”

In this case, Nkes is essentially saying that extinction of the arrogant mortal will be all but assured if they continue to challenge or war with nature, and that it’s the Hubris itself that blocks those from seeing their future destruction as it barrels down on them. We currently face this issue regarding our own situation regarding the climate now. Despite an avalanche of warning signs and sirens blaring from climate researchers, far too many are lackadaisy on the situation at hand and simply dismiss the rise in unusual weather patterns, droughts in places that once had regular rainfall, the bleaching of coral reefs at rates we’ve never seen, lack of cold weather and greenery in the Arctic region, massive flooding happening in parts of western Asia, etc. Truly the examples are endless, yet the march continues to what our Philosophy would boldly say is Nkes’s “eradication” remark. It’s the main reason our Project Sacred Earth is so heavily focused on environmental policy changes and fighting climate change. We are heading towards eradication—not of the Earth itself but of our presence on it through our own Hubris.

Speaking of Nkes, we shall also talk about her in our Xyphozon review and her role in the trifling of Nature. Briefly preview her, Nkes is the Stirrer of Nature and was once known as the Master of Maelstroms; Lord Nakndes bestowed the power of stirring Nature itself upon Nkes in her status as an Archangel, and the eradication that Nkes states will be the result of challenging Nature shall understandably come from her own stirring itself, but we’ll save the details for the Xyphozon overview.

With that said, we can conclude by saying that trifling of Nature in Xyphoist Philosophy is akin to trying to put a fire out with using petrol, you will get burned. This links in well with the Tale of the Old Flame in that regard as we are not using the Realmly Knowledge bestowed on us and are choosing ignorance instead. As is the edict said by the Philosophy on this topic: “You shall not conquer the Creating Force.”

Commentary 44: The Spiritual End for those consumed by Corruption

Greetings from the Xyphokonic Ordinance and Order. Today we will be discussing the connections between beings inflicted with corruption and the inevitability of the Spiritual Ends by such circumstances. We’ll discuss how letting Hubris, corruption, immorality, and evil—particularly of the theigrited case—will lead to the inevitable downfall of those who partake in such dubious paths. Let’s begin.

As spoken before, Hubris is an acute flaw that inflicts Humanity—although it is not limited to Humans. Along with its proclivity to lead to corruption, Xyphoist Philosophy recognizes the path downward into corruption as one that will eventually lead to the downfall of whoever takes it. In much the same way that the lesson about the Faces of Death will align with how one interacts with Death, so too shall the Spiritual End of someone struck with evil be equally as fitting.

Within Xyphoist Philosophy, we recognize a key concept of this inevitable self-destruction as key to the end of both the Theigriet but also to all that follow in his shadow. When the Lords of the Xyphokonic Order were establishing said Order, they created liberties for all beings to have. Within those liberties, and also included in one of the Immoral Acts, is the liberty to be free of punishment outside of the Lords themselves for immoral or theigrited actions; only the Lords themselves shall conduct Divine Punishment and no other Spirituality shall do so. It is immoral to go outwardly and punish theigrits specifically because the Philosophy dictates that they will self-destruct on their own so long as we continue to defend and practice our Philosophy correctly. Below we see the Lords establishing this concept.

“…that the Spirit be left unpunished outside of Divine Means by those in the Order for breaking of Law, as the immoral and theigrited shall inevitably destroy on their own and not need such petulant overtaking of Divine Authority.”

This concept doesn’t incorporate cases where the institutions of the Order and Ordinance are attacked, in which it is no longer an act of willful aggression so much as defense against being attacked. It is in those circumstances that the Echelons of Action come into play.

In cases throughout Human history, we’ve seen figures bathed in evil have these great downfalls. In nearly every case, these people allowed not only their corruption to consume them, but also allowed their Hubris to blind them from the inevitable cliff before their path. We, as Xyphoites, believe that our efforts in mitigating worldly suffering, being adamant on our Prayer and Practice, and doing all we can to Maintain the Equilibrium will naturally set up the conditions that will prevent realmly decay, prevent evil from overtaking existence, and allow such evil and theigritism to fail to its own means. The only destination for paths of corruption and evil is inevitable destruction and the Spiritual End that comes with it.

Commentary 17: The Dangers of Misused Knowledge

Greetings from the Xyphokonic Order and Ordinance. Welcome to the last entry for the Period of Mauris, where we have focused on Commentary centering around Knowledge, scripture, and general philosophy. We will round out this period with discussing the dangers and negatives of misusing Knowledge in various ways and how to avoid doing so. Let us begin.

The most common way of misusing Knowledge is failing to understand Knowledge to begin with. We, as mortal humans, will acquire Knowledge during our time alive. However, simply receiving Knowledge doesn’t necessarily mean one understands such information. Humans, in particular, are prone to misunderstanding Realmly Truths due, in part, to our affinity for falling to corruption. A person may receive new Knowledge, but due a lack of critical thinking, patience, arrogance, or simply sheer ignorance, the lesson provided with such Knowledge will be partially or entirely misunderstood. Naturally, an ignorant interpretation of a Realmly Truth will result in an ignorant action based from such Knowledge.

Critical and Comprehensive thinking helps alleviate such circumstances. Once new Knowledge is received, examining such new information from all angles, thinking of why such Knowledge was bestowed or learned, and how should Knowledge would can be used to Maintain the Equilibrium.

Knowledge obtained or sought from Hubris-ridden goals will often be tainted or be subject to misuse. A person seeking Knowledge to fulfil a corrupted goal, seeking Knowledge from a spiteful or obsessive desire, or seeking knowledge to stave off a fear that has consumed them, will often use such knowledge negatively. In all of these cases, Hubris blinds the pursuit of Knowledge and blocks people from thinking critically or rationally about such Knowledge in lieu of desperately seeking the information itself.

Naturally, this is avoided by questioning all pursuits of Knowledge by looking within—asking oneself why they are seeking this information in the first place. Are you trying to solve a problem in your life, seeking answers to a confusing and troubled situation, or are you seeking this information to conduct future actions out of spite, anger, fear, or desperation; the latter case would need self-reflection and a readjustment of goals, less they fall to Hubris-ridden pursuits.

Finally, there are those cases where one would very much seek Realmly Truths with the clear intention of causing harm. In these cases, there is no ambiguity as to the reason for and future use of such Knowledge. People who intend to conduct nefarious actions will long-since cast away their concerns for others or the Equilibrium, seek out Knowledge, and use any Knowledge received to intentionally cause harm to others. The actions that follow will almost certainly be immoral in nature, and will be covered under the Divine Punishment if carried out, but the pursuit itself is corrupted as well.

These circumstances are avoided by preventing oneself from falling into corruption to begin with. In this case, Hubris isn’t necessarily a cause more so than corruption is. The management of our Self—of our Spiritual Psyche and our Core—to prevent such paths of destruction is key to preventing the willful abuse of Knowledge for nefarious means.
