Greetings from the Order and Ordinance. This Is final Sacred Day of Lord Kurakku’s Period of Watching for this year, and so today we shall speak on the Lord Himself. Today, we will focus in on the sheer weight and power of the divine attribute of Punishment and how Lord Kurakku has applied in terms of the various curses and decrees made by the Lord. Let’s begin.
This entire Period of Watching, we’ve been referring back to this earlier Commentary regarding the actual definition of the attribute of Punishment within the Philosophy, but to briefly reiterate, the attribute of Punishment is the divine power to administrate retribution for immoral or evil acts. The unique or perhaps frightening aspect of this divine power held by the Lord is that He can administrate this Punishment in virtually any way He chooses—although such Punishments outside of eternal Punishment in Hell are facilitated through the attributes of the other Lords
The first major case of this kind of external Punishment is one of the most legendary cases: the curse placed on Deceptuary’s name after his rebellion was thwarted. In that instance, Lord Kurakku issued a divine curse that stripped Deceptuary of his divine writ and forever branded his true identity as a universal traitor and source of all deception—that full accursed name now being Theigriet Arkellus Eulez Deceptuary. This is an example of how Divine Punishment was used to brand someone with a taboo for the rest of their existence—although this curse only worked on another deity such as the former Arkellus because the curse was facilitated by Lord Vuetenexzyei ending the existence of the Divine Thrones through His attribute of Spiritual Ends. With the removal of the apparatus that disseminated divine structure over the primordial realms, Deceptuary became susceptible to this curse; the exile by the other deities to Gheisialez finalized that curse’s impact by forcing Deceptuary into such a state that he was unable to combat or undo that curse by divine means.
We don’t often think of this next example as an application of that power, but revisiting the Sacred Lesson of “Skin of Dark Soil,” the decree made by Lord Kurakku regarding those evil and theigrited forces that seek to harm all mortals that share the same dark complexion as the Lord and his Child Jaszmisia also constitutes as an extension of Divine Punishment. To paraphrase, the Lord decrees that Jaszmisia’s Sacred duty in Xyphojinami is to bring all sinners and evil forces to face Divine Punishment for their actions—particularly those who target all in the Lord’s image for that reason alone. Lord Kurakku decrees that all who conduct these Great Acts of Theigritism are destined for destruction by both their own Hubris and by the Child’s hands. This isn’t a prospective suggestion, Kurakku decrees that those who are targeted by this kind of hate will be uniquely given the power to always liberate themselves and prosper from that oppression, and that their oppressors, whoever they may be, shall face Divine Punishment for their sins. We see this in this passage from “Xykozheiz:”
It shall be, thus, the goal to mitigate any future corruption on this front. Those, skin of soil, behoove to the innocence of the land and of the realm, have not cast the sin, of brethren or of weak-last relinquishment to the kin of such kind, yet take the brunt of the remainder’s wrath of sin. They, of that captured status, shall be liberated in their indulgence of spiritual conquest. So said the Lord of Punishment, Controller of Hell, and handler of those tainted with sin. Said to the Child, Jaszmisia in youth upon the Azure Lands.
In this case, Punishment comes in the form of a counter-curse that Punishes all who seek to inflict harm that the mentioned group in that decree specifically for the reasons mentioned in the Sacred Lesson. The curse essentially protects and divinely ensures that the people mentioned in the decree shall always have the power to overcome oppression through their own spirituality, and that those evil forces will undo themselves or be undone by Sacred Child Jaszmisia and sentenced to an eternity in Terigath’s Hell thereafter. This is a form of Punishment applies outside the chambers of that Hell via another curse or decree.
We often see Divine Punishment only as an existing force held with Hell and only applied upon Death, but the Lord has no patience for immorality and evil, and is entirely capable of expeditated and extending His godly disappointment in sin using methods like this. That Punishment is then facilitated by the other Lords’ attributes to hasten the consequences of immorality and evil and send such sinners to Hell for their eternal and full Divine Punishment. While Lord Kurakku removed his wrath and crafted it into the Azure Flames, his impatience with sin and disgust with Deceptuary’s actions remain steadfast and unchanged even since the initial rebellion long ago.
